I got 5 postcards today. The first was sent from Japan but is a photo of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, part of the "The Earth from the Air" series. There are 4 stamps on the back of a bird, leaves and buildings. It took 14 days to get here and traveled 10,675 km.
My last postcard today is actually 2 postcards that were sent in an envelope. They are both of lighthouses. One on the island of Langlütjen and 1 in Bremerhaven. There was a stamp of a car on the envelope. The cards were traveling for 11 days and 4,244 km.
My next postcard is from Slovakia. It is from a group of school children and shows photos from the town of Čiližská Radvaň. There are 3 stamps on the back of architecture. It took 12 days to get here and traveled 5,076 km.
My next card is from the Ukraine and shows the lovely Carpathian Mountains. There are lots of stamps on the back! 4 of leaves, 1 of a landscape and 1 of an antique fire truck. It took 13 days to get here and traveled 5,902 km.
My 5th postcard is from Russia. It shows a Sphinx sculpture & the University Embankment in St. Petersburg. There is 1 stamp on the back of Indira Gandhi. The card took 14 days to get here and traveled 5,843 km.
I sure get a lot of postcard from Germany! This lovely card shows the Brinkamahof lighthouse in Bremerhaven. There are 2 stamps on the back of a flower and a lighthouse. It took 11 days to get here and traveled 4,225 km.
I got 9 postcards again today!! The first was sent from Germany but is a photo of Vienna circa 1760. I recognize the view from our vacation in Vienna last month. There is 1 printed stamp on the back of Frauenkirche in Munich (I went inside that church on our vacation last month as well). The card took 11 days to get here and traveled 4,652 km.
And finally, the 9th postcard that I got today. It was sent from Austria and is a cool 3-D card with raised areas for the mountain ranges of the world. There is 1 stamp of a tram on the back. It took 8 days to get here and traveled 4,936 km.
My next 2 cards are from Austria. This one is a night shot from the town of Graz. There are 2 stamps on the back - 1 celebrating 175 Years of the Montanuniversität Leoben
